Linda Peterson's Bio

Linda Peterson

Linda Peterson is the Director and Founder of Linda Peterson & Associates. She received both her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Northridge. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is also licensed by the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Her early career experience focused on inpatient and outpatient treatment of speech and language issues related to head trauma and stroke. Wanting to pursue a focus on pediatric speech and language issues, Linda moved on to both hospital and clinic based practice, eventually opening Linda Peterson & Associates in 1988. Beginning as a solo practitioner, Linda has built a highly skilled group of caring licensed speech-language pathologists.

Linda is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, California Speech and Hearing Association, and the American Cleft Palate Association. She conducts numerous teacher and parent inservice trainings throughout the South Bay communities as well as speech and language screenings at local schools.

She continues to find great satisfaction in working with children and their parents to achieve optimum communication skills.
